PART-TIME RECORDING CLERK
The Commission on Disability is seeking applications for a part-time clerk. Responsibilities include attendance and taking minutes at monthly meetings. Meetings are primarily held on Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 to 2:30 PM. Occasionally there are Saturday morning meetings. The clerk will produce both draft and final minutes within week of meeting. Must have own computer and access to email. The rate is $16.28 per hour averaging approximately 4 hours per month. SKILLED LABORER/TRUCK DRIVER
High school graduate with qualifying experience in the operation of light automotive equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of a Class B Vehicle Operator’s License. General knowledge of the mechanics and operations of automotive equipment. Ability to lift heavy objects and to work continuously under varying weather conditions. Westport residency required. Pay range $17.44 - $19.37 – -40 hrs./week. Sweeps and removes material in street or sidewalk cleaning programs. Cleans storm sewers and catch basins. Shovels snow and removes ice and snow from walks, drives and streets. May assist motor equipment operators in sanding or salting programs. May operate motor equipment as required according to license rating and demonstrated ability.
Recommended Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience: High school graduate with qualifying experience in the operation of light automotive equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements: Possession of a valid Class B Vehicle Operator’s License.
Knowledge, Ability, Skill - Knowledge. General knowledge of the mechanics and operation of automotive equipment. Ability. Ability to lift heavy objects and to work continuously under varying weather conditions. Ability to understand and follow oral directions. Ability to use hand tools and operate power equipment.
Physical Requirements: Work requires frequent heavy physical effort and is performed under varying weather conditions.
