Staff and Volunteers
The staff of our Senior Social Day Program provides a safe and caring atmosphere for the participants. All staff members are trained in CPR and emergency procedures. They also have received training from the Alzheimer’s Association. Regular daily schedules provide the need for structure, but the group is never bored.
Benefits are Multiple
The key to the success of this program is the level of respect shown for the dignity of each participant. Some participants need a little supervision, others just come for socialization. All enjoy the varied activities. Caregivers benefit by knowing their loved one is safe and well taken care of for six hours a day.
Join “The Group”
Isolation and loneliness can lead to depression. Being a member of “The Group” stimulates interaction with other people with similar interests. Studies show involvement in this type of program slows the progression of dementia.
Varied Activities
Participants in our program enjoy a wide-variety of activities, designed by our Activity Director. To accommodate all levels of physical and mental abilities, our programming aims to keep the body and mind active.
