PERSONNAL BOARD

APRIL 1, 2010

 

Meeting called to order at 6:45pm

Members present: Bob Bergeron, Nancy Carleton, Eileen Sheehan, Diane Baron and Hugh Morton

Discussion on the Job Description of the Town Administrator as was the Contract. If there is no action, by the Board of Selectmen, on the contract renewal then it automatically renews on an annual basis under the same contract and same money. If there is termination, without cause, there would be a 3 month severance pay paid. In the contract there is a reference to the evaluation process. The evaluation should be done annually, by the Board of Selectmen and should include goals for the upcoming year and the Board of Selectmen should forward a summary of the evaluation to the Town Administrator.

The draft Town Administrator Evaluation Form was reviewed and discussed. Eileen recommended incorporating examples into the evaluation. The Board of Selectmen would like to have the final draft of the Evaluation in place when the new Board member is in place. The evaluation needs to be done thoroughly by the Board of Selectmen. Eileen is strongly opposed to the draft evaluation form as submitted. Critical Responsibilities and 2010 standards draft was discussed. Diane would like the edits done to the Evaluation Form and the Form submitted to the Board of Selectmen, through the liaison. Hugh motioned to submit to the Selectmen, through Paul Schmit, the Evaluation Form as edited for comments. Nancy second Eileen opposed. Diane will make the changes and submit to the Recording Secretary. Copies to go to the Board Members.

Diane will forward copy of contract to be included with the Evaluation Form.

The next meeting will be April 7th at 7:00 p.m.

Minutes of March 5, 2010: Eileen motioned to accept. Hugh second. The vote was unanimous.

Eileen motioned to adjourn, Hugh second. The meeting adjourned 8:05 p.m.
