Correspondence Requiring Action and/or Reading

1. A request was received from Paul Velho for appointment to the Capital Improvements Planning Committee and/or the Affordable Housing Trust.

2.  A request was received from the Daughters of the American Revolution for a Proclamation for American Indian Heritage Month.

3.     A memo was received from the Planning Board regarding East Beach Road.

4.  A letter was received from Valerie Bain, Cable Access Coordinator regarding Cable Contract Negotiations.

5.  A request was received from Lucy Tabit for appointment to the Westport Cultural Council.

6.  A letter of resignation was received from Valorie J. Schofield from the Council on Aging.

7. A letter was submitted from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund requesting approval to distribute a survey to Town Employees regarding the assessment of needs and interest in affordable housing.

8. A request was received from Chief Pelletier regarding appointment of full-time Dispatchers John Andrade and Sara Beth Carvalho.

Consider / Reconsider

    1.  Approval of revised letter for new appointments to committees and boards.

    2.  Approval of proposed letter to town department heads, chairs of boards and

         committees.

    3.  Approval of Emergency Meeting Minutes of August 26, 2011, Regular Meeting

         Minutes of  September 6, 2011 and Special Meeting Minutes of September 13, 2011.

    4.  Appointment of School Dept. representatives to various town committees.

    5.  Appointment of Commission on Disability representatives to the ADA Transitional

         Plan Committee.

    6.  Recommendation of the Zoning Board of Appeals – Dooley request for return of

         filing fee.

    7.  Request from Fire Chief Legendre for ten (10) SRPEDD hours to assist Town Planner          for updating the Westport Natural Hazards Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan.

Other Issues

1.  Discussion of the creation of a Town Buildings Evaluation Committee.
