Thursday September 8, 2011
- 7:00 p.m. Call to order and salute the flag.
- Approve minutes of August 11, 2011 and August 25, 2011.
- American Legion Hall School District 18 - update.
- Westport Youth United Soccer Fields RT 177- update.
- Oscar Palmer Farm - Historic Preservation, update on items pending from August 25, 2011 meeting.
- Discussion of CPA signage on funded projects.
- Review of procedures and protocol on matters presented to the CPA Coalition
- Town Hall restoration project update and the Select Board to provide the RFP.
- Proposed motion by Mr. Ledoux and discussion:“That the CPC ask Selectmen to request the Town Building Committee to initiate a physical status study of all historically qualified Town Buildings. To determine what repairs and/or updates are needed to provide infrastructure suitable to conduct Town Affairs.That the building committee submit a prioritized list of their recommendations to the Select board and CPC. Understanding that in order to expedite needed improvements the building committee can forward any of their recommendations as soon as they are completed. And if necessary CPC will provide administrative funding to perform the subject study if requested and justified by the Building Committee. CPC will not commit any new funding for historic purposes until the first study results are received and acted upon. The purpose of this motion is to give funding priority to the Town’s crumbling infrastructure.”
- Discussion on State mandated ADA compliance at the Council of Aging and Town Hall Annex anticipated work schedules by Ms. Elaine Ostroff.
- CPA Coalition 2011 Kuehn Award to be presented to past CPC member, Betty Slade on September 27, 2011 at the State House Great Hall, Boston, Massachusetts.
- Town Hall Annex Historic Preservation, letter of thanks to Bristol County Sheriff.
- Approve bills.
- Next Meeting: October 13, 2011 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall.
- Adjourn.
